yeah! I'm definitely interested in internships & projects! Can you tell me how I should proceed? I wish to intern during the vacation after end sems . . . that should be during Jan & Feb, 2011. Also, do let me know if I'll need to learn some new languages & technologies to be better qualified for the same.

All you have to do is first register yourself for the S2B program. Follow all the details on my post related to S2B registration.
When you have registered start building your profile on S2B. This is very important since the search results S2B will send you will be based on your good profile. I think you are in TE now so you still have time to build profile not only for your S2B but also for your placements after BE. These are few things you can do in these vacations-

-Give certification exams like MCTS,MCP JCTS,etc. depending on what platform you will be working on java, .NET or soem other. These certifications are industry standard and would boost the quality of your resume.
-There are some free online certification exams like ACM. You can apply for that.
-Get engaged in projects that is developing some softwares, participate in technical competitions conducted by most probably CSI,IEEE or any other international accreditions.

If you are in TE now then you have two more vacations for your internships. Hopefully you will get some good opportunities from S2B.

As far learning new languages are concerned you will first need decide what platform are you going to work on in future(JAVA,.NET).Learning C# is a good option if you are going for .NET since C# was not included in our curriculum and also it is similar to java.If you wish to develop mobile applications then definitely go for Windows phone application development.
The best thing i can suggest you is Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 platform. Though it is huge and will take time to study it will help you in lots of ways since it includes HTML,desktop and web appn devt.,mobile appn devt and lots of stuff.

So plan your vacations well accordingly.

HAPPY DIWALI!!!
